Ey up, Sheffield. March has landed.
The mornings are getting slightly less miserable, the daffodils are trying their best, and you have exactly two weeks to figure out what you’re doing for Mother’s Day (Sunday, March 15th).
Don’t panic. We’re not going to let you end up handing over a squashed box of Milk Tray and a card you bought from the Spar on the way over.
Here is your Sheffield Online Directory March survival guide.
1. The Mother’s Day Roast (Book It NOW)
If you think you can just wander into a pub in Kelham Island or up Ecclesall Road on the 15th and grab a table for four, you are having a laugh. They are already booking up fast. Whether she wants a massive Yorkie pudding, a fancy vegan Wellington, or just someone else to do the washing up, you need to get it sorted today. 👉 [Browse our ‘Sunday Roast’ category and book a table]
2. Ditch the Amazon Gifts
Sheffield is packed to the rafters with incredible independent makers, bakers, and creators. Instead of buying something generic that’ll arrive in a massive cardboard box, spend your money locally. Once you’ve done your duty as a good son or daughter, you’ve got exactly two days to recover before St. Patrick’s Day. It falls on a Tuesday this year, which means the weekend prior (13th-14th) is going to be massive. Need to find a pub showing the Cheltenham Festival or pouring a decent pint of the black stuff? We’ve got you covered. 👉 [Find your local in our ‘Pubs & Bars’ category]
